Now I will talk about divorce.

Studies show for example Yahoo! that divorce is increasing in many countries.

I think the recent rise in divorce is due to several factors. Now I will say two reasons that I think most important.

The most important facvor is the breakdown of traditional relgious ideas. Marriage used to be a couple's promise to God to stay together ゛…for better or worse, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.″ Now people are more fearful of an expensive divorce settlement than they are of the wrath of God. Thus, we have the rising poqularity of the before marrige legal contract. Apparently, newlyweds are trying toprotect themselves from each other legally, because they're thinking about divorce before they even get married.

At same time, we have abreakdown of traditional family values. People now seem to feel that they have an absolute right to seek individual happiness, and no duty at all to make sacrifices. This was not so in our grandparents' generation. They belived that if spoures ″grew apart ゛or″needed more space,゛they still had to stay married and work through these problems for the sake of the whole family. Now,these whime are considered legitimate reasons to break wedding vows.

In conclusion, it seems that people increasingly think legal contacts are more important than covenants before God, and that personal fulfillment is important than keeping a family intact.So,nowadays divorce rate is increasing.
